Johnnie Walker Black: The Unbeatable King of Value

The Black Label Philosophy

Initially, I wasn't impressed. But "Round and round it goes, and it stops at Black." It's reliable, it's smoky, and it's affordable. While the Blue Label offers undeniable smoothness, its value proposition pale in comparison to the 12-year-old Black.

Label Comparison

  • Red: Brilliant for highballs, too harsh for sipping.
  • Green: Great peat feel, but still a bit of a mystery to my palate.
  • Ruby (Sherry): A bit of a letdown. My expectations for a sherry bomb were likely too high.
